From the perspective of my concept, it was important to connect Széchenyi Square and the Kis Duna Promenade by extending the pathway starting from the House of Connections, thus ensuring free passage between the two defining areas of the city.
The mass was pushed to the corner of the plot in a way to create an inner courtyard protected from wind and car traffic, and to protect the users of the path from all of these. The main entrance does not open onto the street front, but onto the pathway, thus emphasizing the pathway and the courtyard.
The height of the building and its large glass surfaces on the facade help to achieve a better view of the nearby Danube branch. In addition to the view of the water surface, the general silence and tranquility of the street also contribute to the creation of the perfect learning and reading environment.
