The site of my semester is located near a synagogue, which dominates the site and other nearby public buildings also have similar characteristics, so it was important for me to study and understand how these work. Creating connection points and highlighting routes was also fundamental, therefore my building has a bridge that creates a foyer to the old music school, which now has a slightly different function, but it could also co-exist with the new music center. The main public functions are located on the ground floor, on the first floor the classrooms are accessible from an upper-lit foyer/public space. The facade of the building has a main rhythmic pattern, created by the pillars. The prefabricated coloured concrete panels are placed with gaps between them. These gaps play an important role in forming the final facade and creating hierarchy between the components and layers.
