The three pillars of the concept for the family centre and creative space, which is designed for a corner plot on the edge of the historic city centre, are integration into the historic environment, making the most of the unique corner location, and functional separation. The building comprises three sections: an arrival area and children’s activity space; a multifunctional creative space; and a consultation area and office. These three sections are connected by corridors and transitional spaces, forming an inward-facing courtyard-style composition. The building’s use of materials is characterised by restraint. The exterior is unified by the white, fluted façade system, while the interior design is dominated by natural wood, concrete and light green linoleum, creating an aesthetically coherent space. The close connection between the interior spaces and the plant-filled courtyard and enclosed gardens creates an exciting and ideal atmosphere for children.
